IMMUNISATION INFORMATION – NO JAB NO PLAY
New legislation in regards to childhood immunisation, known as ‘No Jab No Play’ commenced in Victoria on January 1st 2016. Children enrolling in early childhood education and care services will need to be up to date with their immunisations or have an approved exemption to be able to attend.
Victoria’s No Jab No Play laws are aimed at increasing childhood immunisation rates across Victoria. Children will need to be fully immunised for their age to be enrolled in an early childhood education and care service.
To enrol in an early childhood education and care service parents/carers must provide an Immunisation Status Certificate to the service. The most common form is an Immunisation History Statement is from the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register. (ACIR)

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO WHEN ENROLLING FOR KINDER?
On the first day of kinder when you bring your enrolment forms back to the kinder, you are required to provide a Immunisation History Statement for your child, showing their vaccinations are up to date for their age. Alternatively if your child is not up to date with their vaccines, you are required to provide a letter from your medical practitioner (signed and dated) listing the vaccinations and dates your child has received them and stating they are on a catch up schedule.
You can click here to obtain your Immunisation History Statement.
