Our bright, modern, air-conditioned kindergarten is set in a tranquil garden setting.
Shade sails, mature trees and a pergola over the sandpit provide ample shade. The children have plenty of room for active play, balanced by quiet spaces tucked in amongst the established garden. There is a digging patch, climbing equipment, a slide and basketball hoop. In 2013, our Sensory Garden designed by Jeavons Landscape Architects, was completed. With a focus on Maths & Science, the garden encourages children to experience the natural world in unique ways. Children are encouraged to take care of their environment and value sustainability. We grow our own herbs, fruit and vegetables which we use for cooking experiences, we also have our own worm farm, water tanks and teach the children the importance of recycling.
Indoors, the room has a welcoming atmosphere and is filled with natural light. The furniture has been purpose built to allow children to move freely and safely around the room, as they explore the different play stations. Some areas are designed for busy play and other spots, such as the reading corner, allow children a quiet space. The room is decorated with the children’s own artwork and aims to be a fun, happy environment where children feel comfortable, secure and quickly develop a sense of belonging.
We are fortunate to have an excellent occasional childcare service operating in the next room, which many parents find convenient for younger siblings, or as a supplement to our kindergarten programs.
A Maternal and Child Health Service, playgroups and numerous other activities for children also occur in the same building, making for an easy ‘one stop shop’!
